Well this is a rather.... surprising decision that the studio has made. I am a fan of UVERworld's songs especially OP 2 of Bleach but not so big of a fan of their recent OP song for My Hero Academia. That said, I can't imagine how well they can capture the mood and feel of The Promised Neverland but here's hoping it will be good.

1st. The Anime isn't just in France exclusively available on WAKANIM, but also in Germany, Russia and the Nordics.

Can't say I'm not a bit disappointed here. Other than their openings for Blue Exorcist (which were fine but not great) UVERworld hasn't put out a good anime OP since the 00's (the recent one for MHA was especially bad). Plus their general aesthetic isn't really the best fit for Neverland's first arc.
Hopefully they'll surprise me but my expectations are pretty low. |

Not sure why many dislike Odd Future. I thought it was a likable song as the opening to MHA. Well I haven't heard many UVERworld songs before MHA's opening so I can't judge. From what I've heard, they're pretty good so I'm looking forward to hearing it.

I don't dislike UVERworld's new music at all, I thought Odd Future was freakin dope. I just don't think that their sound is appropriate for The Promised Neverland? I was expecting some kind of moody solo artist or something more indie-adjacent like the groups chosen for Tokyo Ghoul. Shrug
|

Odd future is one of this year's best song. Pretty curious to see what they will come up with again.
Will it be trending on YouTube like Odd future did? Will be cool too see. |

I didn't know Elfen Lied director was heading this anime. I think he is a good director choice for the Promised Neverland adaptation but we shall see.
