Well I must apologise for my critcisms of lack of northern venues, so, on that note I am very sorry SLA, I was too quick to judge.
Now for a little bit of advice to people out there, if you want to attend events which crop up rather suddenly don't become a lorry driver! Typical that I get a load of local runs in the first half of next week then down to the continent for the weekend.....*sigh*
