It does make sense, from a logistical standpoint. Worldwide release means everything has to be done sooner, to allow for longer transport times and such. The earlier things go into motion, the more chances that somewhere along the lines there will be a leak.
It's a similar issue to a few years ago, when Crunchy and FUNimation got in trouble because simulcast episodes went up ahead of the Japanese release. If they weren't going for a worldwide release, then they wouldn't have to worry about sending the files early to be translated, which would give the possibility of them being leaked early. |
