So, I was looking for any online updates on the release of the Rose of Versailles manga, and came across a post about Udon losing thousands of dollars via a geek subscription box company.
Udon Entertainment talks about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/nerdblock/comments/6sf23h/nerdblock_bankruptcy/ And this article lists Udon losing $28,000 and Dark Horse losing $70,000: https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/08/18/nerd-block-owes-diamond-funko-quarter-million-nycc-150k/ I guess this means Udon will have to wait until they are financially stable enough to take a risk on older titles, like Rose of Versailles and Sugar Sugar Rune. Sigh. |
