It'll be great to finally get Lupin III Part V (in JP w/subtitles) on Blu-Ray. It's too bad they didn't make the English dub with the Japanese music track in mind. Don't know what TMS was thinking with that. But since Part V only has one soundtrack, maybe when/if Discotek licenses that, both language options will be available on one set.

Happy to hear that the Manabi line has been crossed. Manabi Straight is one of the last series I've been waiting for --- since Kaiba and Windy Days have been licensed, I'm not sure what's left from my wish-list (Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko TV, if you're reading, Discotek).

I second the motion for Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko TV.

Bless you Discotek. First you give me Reborn, now Kyo kara Maoh! I own both seasons (S1 in singles and S2 in a boxset) already, is it worth double dipping for a Blu-ray release? Gotta think on that...
I already have the Japanese BD box sets and I was quite disappointed with them for the ridiculous price I paid. Other than the bigger resolution there was practically no improvement in the overall quality.

But then again at least the English release doesn't cost 266$.

I have been waiting for this! I'm so happy about Kyo Kara Maoh! The first season is the only one I have, but I'll definitely preorder this as soon as I can, in hopes of getting the rest. Can't say I love that yellow background, which is like the complete opposite of how the Geneon releases looked, but I'm just happy to finally cross something off the list of license/rescue dreams.

I wonder if they got the rights for S3. If they did it probably won't get dubbed, but I think I'll be OK with that.

I've also got the same discs as you, I love this anime so I think I'll go ahead and buy the blu-ray. I really hope they release S3 as well as I have only downloads as I couldn't find an official release. I'd love it if they dub (fantastic voice actors in this) but if not I'll buy it subbed anyway.

Manabi Straight has been licensed! Very Happy It's now on the top of the list to get when it's released.

Now for the rest of anime I listed I've been wanting to come over to the US release (by Discotek):

Da Capo (all seasons and OVAs)
Minami-ke (all seasons and OVAs)
Seitokai Yakuindomo (All seasons, OVAs, and movie)
They Are My Noble Masters

Manabi Straight has officially been crossed off, so... Smile

Even if DVD only, I'm glad to see the Appleseed OVA finally licensed. It was one of the first subbed sci-fi anime I ever watched back when I was in middle school in the late 90s on this network called Movieplex that occasionally used to air anime movies. I could never get into the later CGI Appleseed movies and I always found the OVA to be more interesting in spite of being an only hour. Appleseed was also one of those infamous dubs Manga used to make where they would really ramp up the swearing in the dub to get it a higher rating.
