That's a rough story. From what the prosecuter's are charging, I would imagine that he snapped from overwork, perhaps. I don't know why the defense wouldn't just go with that instead of outright denying it. No one is going to kill themselves by throwing themselves down a flight of stairs. :/

they probably would if they tried choking themselves first.

If he's found guilty of this, he's gonna swing from the gallows. Stress from being overworked doesn't cause you to strangle and push someone down to their death.
