Am a few volumes behind - having last read the 6th - but totally agree, this is a stunning manga. Absolutely love it. Kaoru Mori is definitely a talent to be celebrated. Having just read Square Eyes and been so bitterly disappointed, it's worth noting how illustration needs to be so much more than visually pretty drawing - it's also there to communicate the story. In a Bride's Story, both visuals and dialogue combine seamlessly, with lovely pacing and tone.

This volume was excellent; i love birds, so it was a treat to see so much of the eagle hunting illustrated in great detail. Also, the final twist of this volume punched me right in my feelings, i collapsed and giggle-cried for 15 minutes
