Thanks for what must have been quite a few hours putting the articles together from the basic facts!

Thank you so much for acknowledging this! I spent most of yesterday putting these together.

These are pretty solid lists, but two songs that I was personally surprised to see (moreso on the latter than the former) are the Air OP and the Please Teacher OP. Those two songs were some of my favorites from that decade, so I’m glad to see them on here.

Or from the previous decade, no Honoo no Sadame (Armored Trooper Votoms OP).

Um, Votoms came out in 1983 which would be part of the Showa Era. So of course it wouldn't be counted. The Heisei era runs from about 1989 to the end of March of this very year.

I feel the shounen genre is underrepresented here...

I didn't realise that Votoms was that old, my copy of the OP single must be a re-release, dated 21 August 1998 "Starchild CD Single Collection Vol. 7". Tetsuro Oda performed the OP at Animelo Summer Live 2012 (and also Dragonball GT OP "DAN DAN Kokoro Hikareteku" with Maon Kurosaki, Ray and Mikako Komatsu, Slam Dunk ED "Sekai ga Owaru made wa…" with Noboru Uesugi, and of course the Animelo Summer Live 2012 theme song "Infinity").

Heisei era was also the era of CD's being the main recorded music format. For those singing karaoke, the old CD singles with their karaoke versions are quite useful.

I find the 1989-1999 picks to be something that fans can agree on as they are generally memorable enough to give off the nostalgia factor.

The 2000-2009 and 2010-2019 picks are not too far behind.
