Great review!
I also appreciate Neverland's emphasis on the cruelty of systems of oppression, but I was even more impressed with how quickly Emma (and the other kids) realized that the man in the bunker was truly suffering and decided not to do anything that would seriously hurt him. He may see them as adversaries, but Emma and the kids don't, and would much prefer to win him over with kindness. Even though it might dull the plot a bit, I hope kindness will win out! |
