I almost hate to write this, but my grammarian impulses do not end with English.

Koi (恋) is romantic love, not ai (愛). The latter does indeed carry a strong connotation of romance (it's the love that says, "I seek to stay with you all of my days, O my indispensable other half!") but 恋 is the word used when we love someone in an explicitly romantic or sexual way. However, that linguistic quibble aside, I do join you in congratulating the happy cous—er, couple!
