I’ve always found it really interesting that there’s 6 versions of the 1st story that were all simultaneously published in different magazines aimed at different demographics. It’s great that Shogakukan will compile them into a single volume. IIRC used copies of the January 1970 issues containing the 1st story go for a lot of money on Japanese auction websites.

Doraemon was probably the first Japanese anime that I watched, way back when.

I'd love it if Disney+ revived the dub. Disney XD treated it pretty badly if I recall (like they did the third season of Yo-kai Watch since that franchise also didn't catch on in the west). But since this is a streaming service, maybe the show will get more respect there. If Netflix and Hulu can acquire anime, why can't Disney+ do it too?
