In my opinion, you can tell from the poster that the actor on the right is (way) younger than the other two actors. Moreover, it's too bad that they don't use real child actors around the age of 11/12 which corresponds to the main trio's age in the manga/anime, even though I somewhat understand that choice (it's difficult for any child actor to portray such kind of stylized anime/manga characters in a way which ressembles the original and pleasing its fans).

My only mild cause for concern is reading this is from the same team that did the Erased movie--which admittedly I haven't seen but according to those that did it was a mostly faithful adaptation until it decided to contrive a pointlessly bleak conclusion just for the heck of it. Otherwise, I would've been totally open to this interpretation of the Promised Neverland story regardless of the actors' age/ethnicity. I'll still see it either way out of curiosity, and hopefully it'll be better than what most are expecting of it.

Okay, this is something I really hate about Japanese live action adaptations - their usual insistence on making the characters look as close to the source material as possible.

Like, try to get in the ballpark certainly, but some designs just look dumb in live action, be it Norman here or pretty much everyone in Princess Jellyfish.
