Maybe they’re not aware of it, and depending on how it goes with the revelations, it can change. And even so, other people are involved so you can ignore his work and focuse on the rest.

Maybe as long as he isn't a woman sexually objectifying a 15 year old boy they are okay with it?

Despite their track records of leaving their titles to uncertain-incomplete status, I'm still a fan of CLAMP. Seeing that it's a Netflix animated series, I guess there's a high chance this new project can come to a completion. Looking forward to it.

I wouldn't mind seeing some reboots, remakes and reimaginings, Rayearth needs some love, would love to see more of xxxHolic. My personal most favorite is Angelic Layer I like the concept it being about girls playing with dolls but they express it aggressively through competitively fighting them. Real life needs more competitively/fighting themed girly toys.

Didn't I say already that what happened was 5 years ago and unless shown otherwise, has done nothing else controversial?

Well, these are the people who wiped Kevin Spacey off the face of the earth and cancelled one of their best new cartoons (Twelve Forever) after the creator bragged about stalking children. If Ubukata’s crap resurfaces it could spell doom for this show.

Yeah I get that, just being funny,

No season 2? I hear they booted her off pretty early, Kicking a creator off doesn't look at Loud House, Let hope people don't start freaking out Rebecca Sugar's old Ed Edd and Eddy porn.

I'm excited for the CLAMP partnership and hopeful for several of the others. Made a face at Tow Ubukata's inclusion because of his abysmal work on Pycho-Pass 2: The Season That Must Not Be Named and that's before I learned he was a violent, abusive a-hole. Fun times.

Hopefully, the other creators' works will take off and Ubukata's won't.

I'm a simple person. I see CLAMP, I instantly get excited.
Granted, I wish it was an animated version of one of their existing properties (seeing Wish animated in its entirety or Clover with the conclusive ending that they wanted to do are at the very top of my list), but maybe if this initial partnership works out for whatever idea they're developing right now could lead to future projects.

The creator of Twelve Forever was removed from the show before it even premiered. Low viewership must've been what killed Twelve Forever (a shame Netflix didn't give it more of a chance, along with Tuca and Bertie).

Cool! I'm always up for more anime originals especially when it involves mecha (which has been lacking the past couple years outside of Gundam and Code Geass), but I just wish it was available worldwide same day as Japan thats the reason why I canned my sub from Netflix not wasting $12/mo on something I have to wait months for when its already all available fansubbed. Aside from Dreamworks stuff and Disenchantment their library wasn't really all that good to worth keeping for non anime stuff anyways.

I do like this means more anime per season with CR also producing originals too anime really has come a long way the past couple decades.

Whenever a new Ubukata work or credit is brought up the initial story always comes around again, but never the follow up about how the charges against him were dropped, of course that doesn't invalidate what he may or may not have done, but it still seems like something that should be mentioned as well for full context. People can feel how ever they want about the guy, hating him and his work from that point on or before is valid, but if there's one thing I can't stand it's people telling only half the story to just sell it on the controversy alone.

The only one I'm personally interested in here is CLAMP, and even then I would still need to know more about the level of involvement. The article say's they're involved, but not really their exact capacity. They were "involved" in Code Geass and Blood-C too, but that is obviously entirely different from Cardcaptor or X.

I wish as well..... It most likely won't but its still me wishing for series as Drug and Drop/Legal Drug getting a couple of eps or something! Another I know will never happen is finishing or at least remaking x/1999 to give the real ending. I know the movie and the anime didn't have the ending they wanted to do.

Being a CLAMP fan, I’m curious about what this new anime is but it sounds like it’s going to be another Code Geass situation where they’re just handling the character designs but maybe not have that much of a role in the creative process. By the way, I’m still waiting on CLAMP to announce season two of CCS Clear Card.

That's fine and all, but how come we never get the older Kindaichi anime? I guess it's not totally impossible... Netflix is releasing original Saint Seiya anime after all.

CLAMP? Wonder what Netflix’s usual tastes could want from them, besides a Rayearth remake...which I would totally be on board with BTW.
