It's possible that Miyazaki was exposed to early CG and came away from it unimpressed. But I'm sure he's familiar with Pixar's stuff. But just like many of us, he appreciates the hand drawn craft.

Also aversion to streaming is not just a Miyazaki thing. Even the west has its professional concerns with the digital age and the way people treat and consume media. Many creators prefer audiences to appreciate the work that goes into films in the best way (theatres with first class projectors and sound) versus watching it on your tiny phone on the crowded noisy metro.
