I can't wait for things to inevitably to come out about famous directors, movie stars, authors...
You think that no one else in the manga world or in the entertainment industry is a pedophile? Watsuki was and is disgusting for what he did. He SHOULD have been far more severely punished for his crime, but I guess as far at Japan is concerned- it's a done deal. I read and watched RK years ago, and as far as I or anyone else knows, nothing in RK promotes or has a trace of pedophilia. I can separate a beloved work from the actions of it's author. It's not hard to do. |

You are aware that’s because the content of the show is pretty much softcover pornography right? Even most channel’s in Japan are canceling viewings of that show, with the only remainder willing to do so being a late night channel. Menawhile barring the shit with the original creator, RuroKen is a perfectly viewable show that does not require a warning for heavy sexual content before every episode. |

1: be polite in here. No calling other posters idiots, etc. Had to delete a bunch of posts for that.
2: It's fine to choose to not support Watsuki in light of what happened. It's also fine to choose to separate the art from the artist. It's not fine to demand that others agree with your view on this and say that they're bad people for not doing so. |

This decision was likely forced on Funimation by their Sony overlords but this poor decision makes me appreciate even more that Viz decided to cancel publishing the Kenshin sequel manga as I often feel like now that Viz is the only one in the anime and manga industry corporation wise that's taking Watsuki's crimes seriously.

..Or and this is just crazy talk but One man does not an anime make. Watsuki may be a scumbag, he may even be worse than whatever evil you believe in but that doesn't mean those that were without fault during the production process deserve to be painted with the same brush he is, nor does their work on the project. By blacklisting RuroKen you're not just hurting Watsuki but the literal hundreds of others who put time into bringing the project to life. |

I didn't know that was the case. That is too bad considering the one Media Blasters made was good. It could be possible that it's old enough that the rights to that particular dub track actually belong to Media Blasters. That sort of thing used to be more of a problem many years ago. Like I said in my last post, I'm glad I have by box sets from when Media Blasters had the rights. |

its not. the media blasters dub will be dub that's getting added later today. The community manager confirmed this on the funi discord yesterday |
