On the one hand, the premise sure sounds like anime wordsalad that promises a thoroughly generic experience. The inclusion of airplanes kind of surprised me, and finding that Tappei Nagatsuki is writing it really surprised me. I liked the subtle/weird worldbuilding of Girls Und Panzer (I wonder about the implications of it), and we definitely could use more anime-original stories (it's nice to sometimes actually reach a conclusion).
