Wait, aren’t Sentai the same guys responsible for the laughably bad Food Wars dub?

What are you talking about? Food Wars has a great dub. As for My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, not sure haven't seen it yet.

eh, food wars dub is kinda all over the place. worst decision is easily the valley girl accent on Erina

To me it is one of the better dubs Sentai has produced. This is coming from someone who initially thought that an English dub for SNAFU was a very bad idea, but I ended up really liking it; the VA for Yukino is especially great.
