It didn't get negative attention in Japan, though, and that's the market they really care about. I'd even argue it didn't even get negative attention within the anime community, a lot of it was people on the outside.
I didn't watch this one but it seems a lot of anime this season are getting sequels, which is always nice to see.

Well, it's kinda sad if some controversially popular like Uzaki-chan get another season instead of your favorite anime which reach the cul-de-sac.
If you ask me about Uzaki-chan anime, I don't mind if it will get another season. I didn't watch it not because of Uzaki's controversial character design, but because of Shinichi. I'm just tired looking at those generic ubiquitous male anime protagonists which character design looks like they're made on a budget.

It annoys me that stuff like this and Rent-a-girlfriend get like, auto-second seasons as they wrap up while Dorohedoro likely never will.
