Neat, I really liked the anime for this, so I'm glad I have the option of playing the source eventually.

Funimation's slogan for the anime is worse than you remember:

THAT'S WHAT IT WAS! Thank you, I was trying to remember. I also whole heartedly disagree. It was perfect. A trashy slogan for a trashy show.

The anime was a huge soap opera, but I won't deny it kept me interested at the time.

That said, I had to watch Godannar and/or Nanoha to get back in a good mood afterwards.

This!

I hated the ending of the show so much but I heard the OVA version that we never got here was actually better.

Then you will hate the VN endings as well. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is an utsuge. Endings range from bittersweet to horrific. The anime adapted Mitsuki's bittersweet ending. Do not expect anything as fluffy as the OVA. This is a VN where every little good thing that happens is soured by something unpleasant.

Well, sorry to not be in the Hot Take Club like a lot of you seem to be, but Rumbling Hearts is straight-up unironic Personal All-Time Top Five anime for me.

Oh my god! I have been waiting years for this - I can't believe it. Wow, dreams really do come true - finally got Robotics;Notes which I am currently playing after waiting years for it, in addition to all the other visual novels that have come out in the past two years on the switch: Maitetsu: Pure Station, Grisaia Trilogy, Planetarium, If My Heart Had Wings, Phantom Trigger, Aokana, Little Busters! Converted Edition, YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of this World, and World End Syndrome, Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life, Collar x Malice, and Nurse Love Syndrome (don't let the title put you off as it did me - it is written by two nurses.) Decades ago I worked as a CNA for a couple of years and this VN really brought back memories of the average day working in a nursing home. This is a great time to be an english visual novel enthusiast - dare I say - this is visual novel heaven.

Huh, I thought the green hair nurse route (as well as Mayu looking quite young) was going to keep this JP only forever. Well, that's pretty cool.
