There is no inflation in Japan, Ticket prices are still the same.
Spirited Away average ticket price:1310 yen
Kimetsu average ticket price:1347 yen
and the increase is due more adult fans(higher ticket price compared to children)

Oh, really beautiful news to see that Spirited Away fastest 10 billions yen record being completely obliterated by this KnY movie.

@Kougeru

The inflation on Japan since the start of this millennium has been near to zero, so you can compare box officies of movies from that whole range of time without so much need to adjustments for inflation.
Now if you want to compare a movie from the 50s vs a movie of this year then the amount of tickets sold should be a more fairful comparison, but seeing how Spirited Away (2001) is currently tied with Tokyo Olympiad (1965) as the movie with most tickets sold on Japan, then I think this movie may have shattered the all-time first 10 days record even if you adjust it for inflation or for admissions.

If i go and watch a movie where I live there is empty seats next to me to upheld the social distance. I know about the social distancing meme in japan but how is it possible to fill cinemas and break sale records at the same time as keeping distance?
