I heard that there was a phone game adaptation where the director was making a story unrelated to the game story, completely original work in the same world. Is this that one?

I didn't hate it, but I wasn't inspired enough to watch more. There was too much that was generic about it to hold my attention. I don't see people talking about it, so that furthers my lack of desire to watch.
