It has a sizable audience, as of December 2020 there's over 1,7 million copies of the light novel out back in Japan, with a total of 9 volumes published. I have no doubt it will find an audience on this side of the pond too, it's popular enough, even if you simply go by the numbers from the scanlated manga version...
