Here are my picks for Round 2 Bracket B. This was easier for me than the last one.

Ooooh, I like Nicholas Wolfwood’s personality for sure. But, I have to vote for Levi based on bad-ass fighting skills, his agility, discipline, strength, they are just more impressive. Sorry Wolfwood!

B2 Hei (Darker Than Black) vs. B24 Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell)
I appreciate both of these characters equally, but I think Hei’s ‘coolness’ gives him a slight edge. My vote is for Hei.

Spike is the epitome of bad-ass. Attitude, fortitude, even his looks. This was an easy pick for me.

B4 Revy (Black Lagoon) vs. B21 Escanor (7 Deadly Sins)
Revy exudes confidence and strength consistently. Pretty impressive, really. I would not want to mess with her.

B5 Roy Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist) vs. B19 Ryo Saeba (City Hunter)
Ryo definitely has the attitude and the skills. Not that Roy doesn’t, but I just think Ryo has it more.

B6 Char Aznable (Gundam) vs. B17 Father Anderson (Hellsing)
Father Anderson, all the way.

I like Priss, but I have to give this one to Vegeta. It’s the attitude, confidence, swagger, etc. I don't even watch Dragonball, but I can't deny that Vegeta is bad-ass.

Hei is a badass, yes, but just doesn't seem all that capable to me by comparison. Motoko has her ever-present confidence.

B3 Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop) vs. B23 Maka Albarn (Soul Eater)
Spike has attiude and swagger which Maka simply doesn't. Maka kicks ass in a fight but that's really about it.

B4 Revy (Black Lagoon) vs. B21 Escanor (7 Deadly Sins)
As I stated in earlier voting Revy comes across as too psycho to be a badass.

B5 Roy Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist) vs. B19 Ryo Saeba (City Hunter)
As much as I love Ryo, his sillyness costs him this match.

B6 Char Aznable (Gundam) vs. B17 Father Anderson (Hellsing)
I had to think pretty hard about this one. Anderson is obviously more powerful, but then again his show is filled with supernatural elements as well, often times pushing the realm of beliveability. Still, I think his attitude and his powers are enough to pull ahead. Char has his principles and he's a great leader but he doesn't have the attidude that Anderson has.

B7 Priss Asagiri (Bubblegum Crisis) vs. B10 Vegeta (Dragonball franchise)
She's a literal rock star in addition to being a mercenry-for-hire who fights evil. It doesn't get much more badass than that.

B9 Hiko Seijuro (Kenshin) vs. B13 Dark Schneider (Bastard) vs. B15 Kyouma Mabuchi (Dimension W)
For me this came down to Seijuro vs. Schenider, and while Seijuro is undoubtedly a badass, he's also more of a generic tropish sort of character. The badass ninja/samurai master has been done before, and better than he. Dark Schneider is a bit more unique and he oozes badassery not only in his abilities but his attitude as well.

Runner Up Bracket 1:

C32 Sylia Stingray (Bubblegum Crisis) vs. A31 Busujima (Psycho Driver)
Hard. As much as I love Sylia I have to give this to Busujima. See my earlier post in the thread with the video link; it's pretty difficult to one-up Busujima's swagger, and he does have the skills to back it up. Sylia is more of the cool, calm, and collected badass.

A27 Gabimaru Rikiya (Cyber City Oedo) vs. B32 Brandon Heat / Beyond the Grave (Gungrave)
I think my boy Goggles might lose this one because he's from an older title that I suspect not all that many people have seen but I think he's underappreciated in the badass department. He not only looks like a badass, but he's got toughness dialed up to 11 and he's no slouch in the mental department either.

B22 Byakuya Kikuchi (Bleach) vs. B11 Genos (One Punch Man)
Genos has determination which Byakuya simply lacks.

C11 Lind (Oh My Goddess) vs. D25 Toshio Ozaki (Shiki)
I think Toshio is a cool character and he's certainly got grit but he just doesn't come across as that "badass" to me. Lind takes this one.

A22 Isaac Netero (Hunter x Hunter) vs. C28 Shagia Frost (Gundam franchise- Gundam X)
Isaac seems fairly generic to me, Shagia might be evil, but he's undoubtedly full of don't-F-with-me attitude, and he's stone cold ruthless to boot.

No contest.

B26 Kurau (Kurau Phantom Memory) vs.D31 Isamu Dyson (Macross Plus)
Another no contest. I'm very surprised Isamu didn't go farther in this tournament, I guess he's another victim of the older show syndrome?

Honestly this one could go either way but I'm voting Leone because I like her character design better, and because I generally don't care for Sukeban Deka in general.

Metal Bat has far more badass attitude than Jiraiya does, IMHO.

When I posted this yesterday I had voted for Umibozu. I'm changing my vote to Ippo. Ippo has serious determination and guts. Umibozu does too, to an extent, but I think the fact that he's more of a minor character in his show puts him at a disadvantage here.

Yes that's fine. We've had spotty internet here as well thanks to the shitty weather. It's not the snow, it's the damn ice and slush. All the trees and lines keep freezing overnight. Biggest Badass Round 2 Bracket B

Levi is by far quite the badass. His fight against the Beast Titan alone is enough to cement his win over Wolfwood.

Round 2 for Bracket B is now closed. I will have the results up later with results for the Runner's Up Bracket and mini game as well. I had stuff in a document up to Beltane's post, but I didn't save the damn thing. I simply had it up. Then my cat walked right over the damn power button on my desktop tower (I have a tower with the power button on the top front next to the computer desk) and I lost it. So I am going to make dinner now and re-count things afterwards. I'll use this post as a place holder for that.

In the mean time round 2 for Bracket C will follow in my next post. I will also have the Runner's Up bracket #2 up later as well.

Edit: Here are the results for both the main tournament (Round 2 Bracket B), and the first round of the Runner's Up Bracket. I want to say this was the closest back and forth set of matches we've had. In both sets of matchups there were quite a few match ups that were going back and forth. Several were decided by Calathan's last vote being an odd number as they were tired 4 votes a piece. This round really goes to show you never know what might happen. Rally for example in the Runner's up tournament came from a 4-2 vote against her to take 3 votes in a row and win. Others were back and forth. So all votes do matter as you never know what a single vote might make the difference. Anyways, onto the results.

As little as I've actually seen Ozen do, other than talk, I'm still very curious of her actual character arc and abilities (haven't seen or read anything past what's in the TV series). But we've, at least, seen what Kiritsugu has gone through and is capable of, so I will give him that advantage.

C4 Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan) vs. C21 Ban Mido (Getbackers)

I like the mix of passive and overt aggression that Mikasa gives off, but there's simply not enough character or personality to help accentuate that. Ban, at least, has charisma and swagger, so I'll take him for this matchup.

C5 Integra Hellsing (Hellsing) vs. C22 All Might (My Hero Academia)

Still haven't watched MHA, yet. But for a regular British lady with some gun and sword skills and leadership ability, I still think Integra's really cool.

C6 Vash the Stampede (Trigun) vs. C18 Homura Akemi (Madoka Magica)

Difficult choice, since both characters can be seen as going to very extreme lengths to uphold their convictions and achieve their goals. Both are also basically trying to repent this kind of deep-seeded self-anguish that they unknowingly brought upon themselves by caring for others. It's a very compelling matchup.

However, I feel Vash's conviction comes from a more positive force and actually has benefits, not just for himself, but those around him (even the villains). Akemi's reason for doing what she does seems a bit more self-centered and just to protect Madoka. I will give Vash the advantage for his altruism.

C7 Kenpachi Zaraki (Bleach) vs. C12 Izumi Curtis (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Kenpachi is a guy who is literally overflowing with power. Izumi's maternal instinct is admirable, but in swag comparison, Kenpachi definitely has more.

C9 Arataka Reigen (Mob Psycho 100) vs. C10 Jin (Samurai Champloo)

I can actually imagine the matchup in my head: Reigen stands there spouting completely convincing nonsense about modern day combat techniques and how he can dodge all of Jin's attacks, eventually disarm him, exorcise a spirit at the same time, and all without lifting a finger because his spiritual powers are that advanced.

And if Jin would like to even avoid the fight, altogether, Reigen will offer him a discount exorcism and recommend a frames store where Jin can get a couple pair of new (bootleg, but unbeknownst to Jin) designer glasses on a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale with the money he saved from the discounted exorcism.

And to top it all off, Jin actually seems like he'd be the kind of guy to find the practicality in that. Mugen would probably punch Reigen in the face, though. Laughing

I added you back into the mini game Unicorn_Blade. You had originally said you wanted to join but then were absent for the first set of the rounds. I figured life simply got in the way as you had mentioned. I didn't want your name sitting on the list with a 0 by it and make you feel bad. Since you've voted the last two rounds though I added up the totals for both, and added it to your name back on page 1 with the complete mini game list. You have a tall hill to climb to win having missed those early rounds, but who knows. Points do go up in value by 1 each round.
