Yeah, it's getting freaking annoying when people ask for a movie and don't consider the time it takes to reach other territories. Sure, Carl, a movie "would be good" (and I'd still prefer an anime TV show because accessibility), but while it would be released, say, in december this year in Japan, in other countries it wouldn't come out until halfway through 2022. I blame the Demon Slayer movie for opening the floodgates of people asking everything to be adapted exclusively into a movie lately. Last week alone, people suddenly want a Jujustu Kaisen movie (which we'll get from a prequel, apparently) and a Promised Neverland movie. |

lol I knew it. It was pretty obvious that 16 episodes alone wouldn't suffice to adapt what's left of the manga, and that they would need another batch of episodes to finish the adaptation. |

So relieved to hear that there's no movie otherwise this would turn into "Attack On Money".
But this means there will be a Final Season Part 2 lol they just tryin to save face and not disappoint fans that we'll have to wait for another year I'm guessing that the Covid 19 delay is to blame.. |

Welp, looks like it’s time to finally read the manga because I can’t be left hanging like that for almost a year. I haven’t been this invested in a currently airing show since FMA:B. Good luck to fellow anime-only viewers with avoiding spoilers.
I’m relieved it won’t be ending with a movie though. |

This was obviously coming as for anyone who's read the material there is obviously a lot to cover that would require more episodes to get a good adaptation, and considering AoT's popularity, there's no reason to half-ass it and rush to the finish.
I also thought that maybe they would consider a movie to wrap it up, given the stuff that happens it would definitely require a lot of major visual spectacle so it wasn't unreasonable to think so. But they'd likely need multiple films, so a series would be preferable to wrap things up nicely. |

Sigh... remember when a typical anime TV series had 25/26 episodes per season, straight through?
