Is the show arranged in chronological order on the website, and if not could someone please explain how I could figure this out.
Or if someone has the time could you make a list (assuming the website isn't in order) of which ones to watch so it's in order of the timeline of the show. |

I believe it goes like this.
Slayers Excellent (OAV) Slayer The Motion Picture (Movie) Slayers (TV) Slayers Book of Spells (AKA Slayers Special) (OAV) or Slayers Return (Movie) (I'm not sure.) Slayer Great (Movie) Slayers Gorgeous (Movie) Slayers Next (TV) Slayers Try (TV) Slayers Premium (Movie) That's the order the story in the show goes. |

Slayers Excellent (OAV) Slayers - The Motion Picture Slayers Special (OAV)sequel of Slayers - The Motion Picture Slayers Return (movie)sequel of Slayers - The Motion Picture Slayers Great (movie) Slayers Gorgeous (movie) TV series here I'm sure it's correct Slayers (TV) Slayers Next (TV) Slayers Try (TV) Slayers Premium (movie) But it is indifferent whether you start from TV series or from OAV and Movies (besides Slayers Premium). You can for example watch TV series, and after that you can watch OAV and Movies. OAV and Movies show events, which take place before TV series but TV series do not recall what had happened in that time. |

The OAVs and Movies are not really that episodic from one DVD to another. Even the episodes on each ADV Slayers release don't have much continuity.
If you want to get a real taste of Slayer's action in a fun-filled storyline it's fine to just start off with the TV series in the order they were mentioned above. If you skip all the OAVs and Movies you aren't missing much from the TV series' storyline even though most people consider them prequels. |

All the slayers movies/OVAs are before the series, with premium being after. The movies and OVAs happen before Lina meets Gourry in the first ep of the first series.

It's amazing how often questions like this come up. I was expecting something a bit more recent, like maybe a question about the re-mastering process or Funi's ratio knife but instead it's just another story chronology question with multiple variations in response. Is there some way to include this sort of information in the encyclopedia entries somewhere? It seems that if we can have a trivia section we could probably have a chronology section as well. I have nothing to do with the encyclopedia, so maybe I'm way off base here, but it just seems like I've seen this exact same question a dozen times already. Speaking of which, does ANN have a FAQ for anything but logins and profiles? Hmm...

If you look in the Encyclopedia for larger franchise of series, it says *this* title is a prequel/sequel/spinoff of *that* title. |

Well I'll be damned if it's not there right in black and white just as stated.
Not bad, but it makes me wonder even more where all these questions come from then, and why they don't get the same answer you just gave. Hmm. Also, which specific title is Slayers Special a sequel of? |

I just put the ovas after the first movie in the order they were released. Those all pretty much stand on their own at that point. Though I think there's one that shows how Lina and Naga first met. |
