That's so sad. I've been wondering for a while why I haven't seen much from him recently. One of my favorite figures in anime, now one gone too soon..

He was very talented and seemed like a cool guy. He was approaching 60, but he didn't appear too far removed from young adulthood in terms of creative spirit and energy. Gone way too soon. R.I.P.

Rest in peace. He'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Paradise Kiss and Beck are two of my favorite anime shows. His directing style was captivating and unique.
