Don't know why they waited until the last moment but considering that numerous animes originally dated for this season got delayed i wouldn't rule out the covid. I read the manga and while there are borderline H scenes they are rarer than the synopsis might suggest and short enough to be totally cut during production if necessary.

OTOH, the worst scenes are weighted toward the first volumes of the manga...I think if it was COVID or content, there would at least be a few more details. Worst case scenario I can think of is if someone just took the money and ran. That would require more discretion before actually accusing people in public. If this is the case, we'll find out once any lawsuits are filed.

I've never heard of something like this happening before. Where only the first episode is aired and the later episodes are delayed in order to "examine" the anime's production. There's been plenty of anime that have been delayed because of production issues but whenever that happens they always announce that it is being delayed months in advance and not the day before it is suppose to air. And I highly doubt this show was delayed because it was too lewd. Especially when Redo of Healer aired earlier this year without getting taken off TV.

It's not unheard of. Regalia hit the brakes after a few episodes without much notice, for "quality" issues. (see here)

It's either a case like Regalia or content issues, because even some Japanese stations had cold feet on Ishuzoku Reviewers and it's still fresh on the censors' minds. The press statement alludes to content issues as well. Hopefully this isn't the case or it will be unwatchable like R-15's censored version when it comes back.

While World's End Harem is postponed and it'll resumed by January, then let's watch Y: The Last Man instead. Cool

Can't find any episode on CR 10/9. So much for streaming Ep1 starting 10/8?

It's aired, in Japan. Probably CR just decided not to air it before the rest of the series...

Well, this came out of nowhere. Not even a Covid delay.

The heck does this mean? I was already waiting for the BD to begin with. This just delays my watch.

so I question how this ever got promoted to such a level.

It literally one of the best selling ecchi series right now.

the said can be said for redo of healer!

however, that series didn't get pulled! my guess is that the fanservice for worlds end is even more h oreinated than interspecies or even redo for them to pull the series!

hell i wouldnt be surprised the govt agency in jp that controls the tv broadcasting of their networks like at x FORCED the production committee to pull the series!

Well I managed to find the ATX screening of Episode 1 "Don't bother asking me where as I won't tell you".

And I'm 99% sure it's going to reappear with major white bars added. Not much of a loss as the storyline was poor and it just relied on the "plot". it felt like a prelude to a "queen bee" program.

It actually made "Rape of healer" seem classy and well done.

Animation and models weren't great either, ignoring the droves of anime tiddies shown for effect, it would be scraping a 1.5 / 5 in my book already, so it may need some enhancements to the animation and storyline as well...

Interspecies reviewers it is not, which was a fine 4/5 bit of "I can't believe it's not Hentai".

Did you even read the article? From the very first paragraph:

Quote:
The official website for the television anime of Kotaro Shono's World’s End Harem science-fiction manga announced on Friday that the anime's production committee has delayed the anime's episode 2 and later episodes from this fall to January 2022 due to a need to "closely examine" the anime's production. In addition, episode 1 will air as scheduled, but it will not stream until January 2022.
