This might be a decent place to ask something I've been wondering since I saw The Wings of Farewell in 2014.
Fan resources I've found list Sheryl's age as 17 and Ranka's as 16. They also list Sheryl's birthday as November 23 and Ranka's as April 29. But I don't remember the details of the timeline of Macross Frontier, and what I've read doesn't get more specific than "takes place in 2059". So my question is, is Sheryl five months older than Ranka, or 17 months older? I ask because I need to know whether to be a little amused by the contrast between the visuals in TWoF's concerts, or a lot amused. (Some sources put Ranka's birth year as 2043, which would mean Ranka is 16 between 2059-04-29 and 2060-04-28; if most or all of MF happens both during 2059 and during a span when both ages are correct, that suggests we're working in the span of 2059-04-29 to 2059-11-23, and the latter is Sheryl's 18th birthday, not her 17th, which would mean there's a year and a half between the two. Those same sources don't actually give Sheryl's birth year as 2041, though.) |
