Continuity was never a thing in Panty and Stocking. That was kind of the whole thing. Blow up the city and it was back next episode... only to blow up again.

I wonder if the new season will address what happened in the season 1 finale? Also, i hope Scanty and Kneesocks will return as well.

Kinda can’t believe we’re getting more Panty & Stocking. The Macross news would normally be the craziest announcement of the day, but we at least knew some of those licenses/releases were in the vein of possibility, more so than ever before. This on the other hand feels so out of left field haha

I imagine it won’t be too difficult unless it’s a Netflix license, which would mean it’s a bit more uncertain (although Netflix has been a bit better about getting lead cast reprisals from non-union/TX actors than before). Only major cast replacement that would make sense and I wouldn’t be surprised to see is Chris Sabat as Garterbelt.

Crunchyroll will likely fight tooth and nail for this, and given Netflixs recent issues, they might not want to get into a bidding war over a single title. If they do end up getting it, well I guess a cast reprisal will be on the head of what ever studio dubs it.

Panty & Stocking was just about the shittiest show I ever tried to watch, I got through 2 episodes and just about pucked (literally) doing it. Horrible news they're going to make more of this utter refuse.

We will see if it is a TV anime. The show´s problems were all in the last 2 eps that suddenly burdened the series with lore and a plot focus. Resolve all of that in like a minute and back to episodic Adult Swin midnight cartoon equivalent we go.

Also that same episode Garterbelt explodes then just reconstitutes himself, so it's not like the show's had any real adherence to perma-death anyway. And that's before bringing up the "everyone became a zombie"-episode.
Either way, I'm just glad my P&SwG OST bonus track is no longer lying to me!!
