Like many old Tri-Ace properties, VP as a franchise is conceptually enthralling to me, but often messily executed. And I know quite a few games that have gleefully iterated on its baseline battle mechanics. I still adore the first game of the series, even with its flaws, and can't help but feel some excitement for this.
But only some- VP hasn't sunk to the same lows, imo, as Star Ocean (which is a fitting comparison point, given their histories,) but I'm entirely too suspicious to assume it'll be any good. Last edited by b-dragon on Thu Jul 07, 2022 9:28 am; edited 1 time in total |

You were wise to post the JP trailer because the person playing the English version sucked while the JP player was skilled. Can't believe they went ahead with that Eng trailer.
