I still enjoy the show. I see all the complaints and go: "OK. Still funny". Too bad it's not working for some. I guess given the marketing push, it can be dissapointing when it doesn't work as expected. But, it's still funny for me. So, will keep watching.

I think it's actually pretty known in Japan (there's even a Japanese version with 2.5m views on youtube). I remember it featured pretty prominently in both Night on the Galactic Railroad and Anne of Green Gables as well |

How? This is an exaggeration. Why is it that if a show isn't the peak of the medium and it's genre, it's automatically utter trash and the worst thing ever?. What happened to nuance? Where did all the numbers beetween 0 and 10 go on the scoring scale?. I feel people are too extreme in their opinions in both ways: they're too quick to throw shows in the "ultra garbage" pile or the "super peak fiction" pile. And nuance is dead. |

I wasnt speaking of what I felt about the show I meant THE REVIEWERS take on the show. And that's a pretty good question actually, the reviewer didn't give a numbered review, but some sort of meme that's supposed to be funny? I was defending the show, it really doesnt deserve this treatment and it doesnt paint a good picture of ANN. I understood EX Arm was awful but this didn't really warrant it.

Oh OK. Sorry for the misunderstanding then. About the reviews: we can blame marketing. Marketing leaned too much into the meme brainrot shitpost angle and now reviews are following that spirit even if the show is not quite that far into the meme shitpost brainrot as could be expected, instead being more like a more absurd and gag based typical CGDCT

Yeah, I have to echo my feelings about the show growing less enthusiastic with each episode.
Ep 1 was great. 2 and 3 were pretty boring. 4 is better with several good chuckles. Hopefully it picks up. Nichijou, this ain't. OP is still catchy though. |

The best and saddest part is that Nichijou was a flop in Japan, but people abroad loved it. |

Drugs in this anime? No wonder deer can be considered such wild animals. Shikanoko is responsible. Still, the one that killed me was the second episode for putting an even more insane siscon than Yuri from Spy X Family.

I didn't learn there was dub till I read this latest review. And the dub is not bad, same with the show, it is not bad.
Some of the more stupid stuff I find endearing, no pun intended. |
