I read a bit of the manga to see differences and probably the biggest one is the order of introductions. The anime introduced Koshitan's sister earlier. There is also Shikanoko wanting to thank her friend for saving her and even goes "You want my body?!"

Also, if it helps to another review maybe "No more reindeer games!" will help.

Looks like Crunchyroll is now streaming it on a Wednesday along with ABENMA and ADN.

Is "Your Vote" for the show going to be moved to Wednesday?

Some reason Love Live! Superstar!! couldn't have been afforded this same treatment back during its airing?

You have to talk to the NHK man for that... though judging by Eupho S3 only being delayed by a couple hours instead of a couple days, there's some hope for Superstar Sundays for its Season 3.

I think the reviews will be more entertaining than the show....
Well, I've been holding off on DeerFriend but this week's column got me to check out Ep6 and they do not disappoint! "As funny as the source material, would read again..." Very Happy

Good job Mr. Ferris, I'm hooked. Also might buy an antler Hanko set. And don't knock incest, did you see those pits?? Umai...

Even though I haven't been watching the show or reading these reviews, I feel contractually obligated to comment to thank you for the incredible reference to Fireflies by Owl City, one of my favourite songs.

It's kind of weird that the show is already nearing its end, I feel that this season flew by really quickly, but I have to admit that I've been liking Nokotan, I don't usually watch comedy anime since Japanese humor it's kind of hard to understand due to cultural differences, but Nokotan got a couple of laughs out of me in the last few episodes. I think it also helps that I've been watching the official Latin American Spanish simuldub, which adapts some of its jokes, which I think it works well, and in fact in episode 8 they added a reference to a very famous song that many people from the LA Spanish-speaking has associated to Nokotan since it the show was announced, I'm talking about "El Venao" (lit. the deer). I know some people don't like when the dubs add memes or references that weren't present in the original version, but in a comedy show I think it helps.

Do you mean that one that goes "Y que no me digan en la esquina..."?
Quite famous in Spain, too. Very Happy

Yeah, that one, "El Venao" from Los Cantantes. Everybody in the Spanish-speaking anime fandom were wondering if they would reference the song in the Latin American Spanish dub and they did it in the last episode, the character of Mitsu Inukai sang it during the first part of the episode, when they were celebrating New Year with Noko was being worshipped, the fact that the song was used as a shinto chant was very funny.

I finally stomached one of these silly reviews, because the concept of burying Santa in the cold cold ground is amazingly compelling.

That's a great point, not being a christmas episode hadn't occurred to me while watching, but I definitely would have noticed if they had gone with the usual trope. Definitely raises this episode a few points Laughing

Koshitan breaking Nokotan's neck has to be the most hilarious scene I've seen in a while. At first she called her in an adorable fashion but then it became gruesome with all the blood. Only lacked the Fatality sign from Mortal Kombat

They used the Gundam from the 70s as a reference. Wonder if the Zeon guys are so easy to remember for everybody in 2024

Well, dang you, your review made me hungry! Tempting us with that Arby's burger that is not available anymore (perfect product tie-in opportunity missed? TWIA) I was thinking it would be a hoot to pretend to be eating Tsunoda-san too...
