Confirmed how? Is there a source for that info? I had been going with the rogue employee theory, but I'm open to being wrong. Is the leaker publishing details and/or claiming responsibility? |

I don't like the leaks because of people like this. Clearly the reputation of the work is being damaged by leaks. |

Kids these days...I remember when all we had was analog broadcast NTSC.
Um, quite a few finish hours before broadcast, and too many do not finish in time (as happened to at least two shows Spring 2024 - still waiting for the last two episodes of Sasayaku You ni Koi o Utau (Whisper Me a Love Song)). |

The leaker has been posting info on 4chan, which is also where they are releasing the catbox links to the files that then get reposted to torrent sites elsewhere |

To be fair, people like the first commenter historically aren't the ones paying for streaming subs, let alone buying box-sets, DVD volumes, etc. Folks who actually care will wait and put their money down, especially for popular returning franchises/series. |

Netflix has issued a comment to The Wrap. Iyuno's also posted a statement on their site.
The leaker(s) stopped blurring out the Iyuno employee ID watermarks. Different leaks had different names. They also started leaking some Paramount productions that AFAIK, aren't intended for Netflix, suggesting they didn't just get access to Iyuno's Netflix library. |

Netflix's "aggressive action" isn't going to do much considering how much it's spread around. They might scare a few non-legit streaming sites being run by one 25-year-old in Kentucky or something, but torrents are forever...well, as long as you seed.
The Ranma 1/2 leak also confirms that it's censored. I know I'm at the risk of stepping on some toes here - not even into boobs, know that's not the purpose of the show, but it's silly to draw an entire breast but make the functional part "indecent". |

Barbie-doll nudity is still preferable to lack of any nudity. Lum didn't even get that much in the Urusei Yatsura remake. And plenty of old shows did it that way too if we're being fair (Sailor Moon) |

Very quick question, but are only the anime titles Inuyo's? Or was it all of the Netflix leaks like Arcane, Plankton and Spellbound? Because I find it odd Netflix would trust only one studio for all their stuff if the latter's the case. |

While it's great that Netflix has taken action the damage has sadly already been done.
I have no idea what the leaker's intent was when it came to doing this as I have no desire to go anywhere close to them, the leaks, and 4Chan in general. But what I do know is that this is going to be a nightmare. Not just for Netflix but for everybody else involved in the productions of these series. |

Tragically it's not just the anime series that were leaked from what I heard. Even Arcane and the Plankton movie were leaked. And from what I heard the Arcane footage showed that the series was incomplete. Which only makes this situation worse. |

They handle the dubs and closed-captioning for foreign language dubs for Netflix titles well beyond anime - live-action, reality tv, western cartoons, etc... And regarding anime specifically Netflix does have a few different companies under contract for both ENG and foreign language dubbing, but Iyuno still has its hand in a large amount of them - i.e. even if Netflix used a company like Studiopolis or Bang Zoom for the ENG dub (see Delicious in Dungeon), Iyuno could have worked on other additional languages. This is such a colossal train wreck and I imagine the repercussions will be damning for the company. I really feel for the people actually doing the day to day work inputting subtitles/closed-captions, or producing the different language dubs for these projects to have to see those proxies and know from the start exactly where these leaks likely came from. |
