Will it be a good horror anime adaptation? The bar is so low I'm ok even if is an 7/10 series, any manga reader out there that can tell us if the story is good?

Another anime where the standard cutesy artstyle detracts from the horror aspects.

I'm getting strong Dark Gathering vibes.

Most chapters follow the same pattern, a side character notices a ghost or is possessed, Kaya-chan hits the ghosts to make them disappear, and her teacher who trust that Kana can see them investigates to find out more about Kaya's situation. The manga is good enough but that's a genre we don't often get in anime these days so it's an interesting choice, this one is closer to a SoL Horror like Mieruko than a shounen-esque adventure horror like Dark Gathering. If they can make the ghosts visuals as spooky as Mieruko's anime then it should be good.

Edit : Typo

Yeah, think Mieruko with Yayoi as the protagonist and a larger gap between cuteness and spookiness.

Sounds like Mieruko-chan but she isn't scared.

As someone who really enjoys Mieruko, I’ll definitely check this out.

General rule of thumb: Never trust loli characters in a horror series.

Sooo Mieruko chan again? Tbh, I'm more interested in seeing a sequel to that than this. Still on the fence on this one.

Is it so hard to just adapt finish manga?

No it’s just that studios prefer to adapt ongoing manga while there is still interest in them.

If you don’t like “kiddie shonen crap” then why are you complaining about what gets adapted instead of just ignoring it and moving on?
