Maybe my standards aren’t where they should be, but even if the animation isn’t perfect, the show is still plenty entertaining and I make it a point to watch it every Monday.

Reading the review, it seems like the animation is really letting the show down. These fights didn’t need gimmicks to be exciting in the manga.

Shin did start as an audience surrgote but these episodes explored more his own character. A shame Netflix is one week late cos the latest released episode has one of the funniest fight scenes ever as Sakamoto goes serious in a train.[/quote]

Mad Hoshiguro didn't count on the fact that Sakamoto, in general, wants to hit Shin and just how good Shin is at avoiding Sakamoto's attacks.

I guess this is a lesson that a science lab running human altering experiments is no place to raise a child. Though definitely some questions about what happened to Shin prior to him ending up at the lab.

Poor Shin. He wanted to prove that the doctors' ideals were of value but the doctor only saw Shin having his telepathy as a mistake to be corrected and he got shunned by everyone else.

Osaragi is the perfect Hayamin character. Beautiful, serene, lethal, and a fondness for cute things.

Yeah, we unfortunately won’t see much more of Slur until the second cour, but it’ll be worth the wait.

Kashima acting like he's immortal when Sakamoto seems like the true immortal between them.

Heisuke finally gets to show off and help Shin secure a win against Seba! I'm so proud of him!

What a crazy and terrific train fight with a spectacular finish.

This really has to be a John Wick type setting where barely anyone bats an eye to all the crazy assassin fights going on.

Slur!

This is something we agree on, this mini arc is my least favorite in the whole series, but you’re in luck, the next episode should be the final one.

I've found this show to be very disappointing. It stems from telling the audience that Sakamoto's motivation for leaving the trade is his family only to reduce them to recurring background characters. The story could have helped correct for that by having the Bathhouse plot be centered on Haha getting in trouble and Salami to being a protective parent. That also would have given more meaning behind Xio desire to stay with her found family.

It's a shame it ends on a cliffhanger until the next cour. The other fight was also nicely done.

Overall I have to say TMS probably still would not have been the studio I would pick for this series even as someone who enjoyed the anime. I think at the end of the day I would say it was at least decent but I'm not sure how well it's going to hold up in the second cour. But it was still fun and the voice cast absolutely nailed it.

I did appreciate them throwing in some more fanservice with that lady in red and Lu's high kick in that dress (thighs!).

You don't always need to know how to gamble if you can just rely on pure skill and OP abilities.

Welcome to Team Sakamoto Wutang! You may be Lu obsessed, but considering your history, I don't really blame you. And more people should appreciate brain vs brawn.

It's funny how they teased a member of the Order in the OP who didn't even show up in this cour. I haven't seen that happen in an anime in a while.

I guess I have to appreciate Kashima's commitment to bandage his own deer mask.

Teasing the antagonists for cour 2 at the end.
