^I'm slightly disappointed about that. Had it come at a time when I wasn't picking up several other things that were more important, I probably would have jumped on it. I liked it enough when a friend first showed it to me years ago, and the limited blu-ray appeal definitely grabbed me. But my local comics/book store has a wall of anime that can be rented, and the old Samurai X dvds are available there if I want to see it again.

Whelp, you can't win 'em all.

Though it is sold out at TRSI, you can still get a copy at RACS for a few dollars off retail.

Aniplex of America has made it official via Twitter that Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal, Limited Edition, Blu-ray, has sold out and thanks everyone who bought a copy.

If anyone else wants a copy, they can always import the Japanese version either from amazon, hmv, cdjapan, or yesasia or any other store that will ship internationally...you won't get the translated booklet and probably whatever the first press came with.

Funny that the Aniplex imports at TRSI have a region restriction to where they can ship it, but anyone from around the world can import the JP release directly from Japan. That's just bizarre.

Did the Japanese version come with the English track and/or subtitles?

There is only one version. The difference between the RightStuf listing versus say Amazon Japan is that it came with a separate booklet of English translations for the supplementals. Both have dub/sub regardless.

I believe so. The Baccano! and Fate Zero boxes fall under this category if I'm not mistaken.

Welp. If it works. I mean, if the video transfers are of appropriate quality, why not?

I was really hoping the others wouldn't get a counter so fast :p Well, I'll keep an eye on it. I have a feeling it won't sell out quiet as quick as Trust and Betrayal (which I am happy that I bought, especially seeing now that it's gone and RACS is selling it for over $100...)

Are you guys sure the plastic coating around Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal was meant to be retained? It seems entirely disposable.

I certainly don't think it was meant to. I do think that, to some people, it adds a little something to the collectible. I dispose of mine.

I'll keep it if it's an official part of the edition and not just shrinkwrap. If the latter, I will toss it, I think.
