Bummer! Scrapped Princess is a great show with fantastic writing-- the sort that improves with every episode. It might be my favorite series by BONES.
I'd love for this to get a re-release one day, but if Bandai gave it a great release and it still didn't do amazingly, I doubt anyone will want to touch it again. What a shame!

I liked this show back when it was first released overseas. When Bandai brought it over, I hurried to pick it up ASAP. After awhile, I soon forgot about it. And now it's gone.
Crap.

Is there anything that you DO like? I've noticed that most posts you make consist of comments such as "This looks like crap/garbage". Why so negative?
Back on topic: I am super glad I got the Anime Legends boxset of SP. I haven't watch it yet but I think I might after I finish Casshern Sins. I heard so many good things about the series so now may be a good time to finally watch it.
Sucks for those that been wanting to see this series. Prices on eBay/Amazon are going to skyrocket anytime now.

This was a solid show. The end fell flat for me, but there were specific points in the story that really grabbed me.
Needed a lot more Zefiris imo

I remember I bought this show for Christmas randomly, because it was on for sale Rightstuf and sounded kind of cool. Then, when I watched it, I actually really liked it. One of the better BONES anime shows I think, and defiantly doesn't get enough love, like their other titles do.

When I became interested in anime again a few months ago, I began a list of series and films that I was interested and put Scrapped Princess on it. I had been curious about it when it was first released, but that was about the time of my interest waning, so I never acted. I thought about trying to collect it a few months ago, but was discouraged by the relatively trickiness of getting it all, relative to the several vastly cheaper series that I've gathered. The package annoyed me too. I don't want any figures and I've never liked collections with obnoxious advertising marques on them (although FUNImations classics line looks classy enough that it might change my mind a little). What I would prefer is a conventional artbox and the six volumes to fill it, but that doesn't seem to exist. I do want to see it, but I would prefer less bother. Oh well, so it goes.

I enjoyed the show, but I must say, it has one of the most entirely pointless deaths of any anime I have seen.
After I finished the series, I tried to think of what purpose it served and the only thing I could come up with was to show that the people we already knew were bad, were really bad!

Anybody know if an artbox was released for this? The boxset is already hard to find at a sane price. Singles seem common enough though.

Not according to the encyclopedia. Just the singles, the LE singles with the figures, and the boxset.

Let me say, I love this show. Good stuff all around, but it's not the only show that's faded away a tad too early. Why so particular on this one?
