I'd send in my pics, but my shelves are double parked with manga and DVDs, you can't see all of them at once. And I need to clean my room.

About Saiunkoku: Just looking at it makes me think of Kyo Kara Maoh, which sounded awesome in a summary, but I didn't really get into it.

Judging by Bamboo's summary I doubt the two shows will be that common. I've watched some, not a lot, of KKM and I don't think that they're that similar.

My DVD collection consists of DVDs outside of their cases taking 19 photos. I emailed my links to photobucket to Bamboo, but don't know if she will use them due to the sheer number of images or lack of interest. Also there are technically no shelves involved. I will have to take a separate image for th 50+ DVDs from this month that I will post if she uses the images. I do know that i t also takes time to get around to posting peoples collections since Bamboo often mentions that the images are sometimes a few months old. If it doesn't go up in a couple months I will link the images to the thread under the anime forum.

I have watched Hello Kitty actually. Would you consider Fushigi Yugi, Loveless, and Gravitation shojo? If so seen em all. Own Loveless actually. While not really shojo, I don't think, I do also have Mirage of Blaze and Descendants of Darkness.

Congrats, you should be proud of your courage because it's rare that a man would admit to watching Gravitation, Loveless and Descendants of Darkness. Those first three are all shôjo titles. Loveless is more shonen-ai but shonen-ai is targeted towards girls.

Bailed on Gravitation at episode 1 because it was clearly not going to interest me. Loveless didn't look interesting enough to buy blind. Sadly Decendants of Darkness fell into the Get Backers model of not quitting early enough and ended up watching the whole thing no matter how much I didn't care for it (see also Matrix Revolutions marketing strategy.)

All the talk on Story of Saiunkoku is definitely moving it from a "this doesn't look horrible (but still no driving interest)" to a qualified maybe on my list. Still not quite enough to go in blind, but it's only volume one, so plenty of time to decide. Was also nice to have something to help push Mito from "if I need something to fill the last few dollars for free shipping" to "if Hell needs something to stoke the furnace with". Always good when a title falls off the fence, regardless of which side it lands on.

What was up with Kashimashi? The artwork said volume two but that summary read like a volume one. Is this a subtle hint the reason at it only being a rental is because there is no real advancement or plot/character development happening?

Finally, being a box-addict, I hate throw-case artboxes. It all becomes a fairly simple decision if you consider the cases to be mini-box-ish ... 1 artbox that will take up almost as much space anyway versus 3-7 other boxes that you can easily calculate shelf space for.
