Now I'd like to see Dark Horse revive Super Manga Blast! Then we could have an acceptable selection of manga magazines in America.

If only Viz hadn't nabbed Fullmetal Alchemist, Yen Press probably would have given it such a better release, AND not censored!

Yen Press is now my second favorite after Del Rey. I, quite literally, have an interest in reading all of those titles. I'm most excited about Haruhi, of course, but now especially for Soul Eater.

This is the best news I've heard (or read) all day. First Haruhi, and now all this! I'm quickly starting to fall in love with Yen Press.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is, like, pure awesomeness. I've also been wanting to read Soul Eater for a while now, too.

Higurashi AND Haruhi!
Now if only someone would rescues the anime license to Higurashi. After watching the first episode of Soul Eater (And loving it!) I'm curious to see what the manga is like.

Yay, Haruhi! The rest isn't too interesting for me, frankly, because I dislike the whole 'boy gets entered into supernatural plot and it turns into a tournament' thing. Sorry, fans of those series, but that is what they all sound like.

"GanGan Jump" ?
Well too bad they don't have FMA, or this'll sell like Hotcakes!
This will have to be word-of-mouth to get popular, though at least Viz won't dominate the Manga Mag game!
w00t!
Soul Eater! |
Hahaha. Well said. I don't much care what it's called, (tho' "Yen Plus" does sound pretty cool) so long as it's a fairly well-rounded, good magazine with lotsa fun info. I was wondering - if anyone knows - is there any way to pre-order/subscribe to it? It's supposed to come out in July, right?
Anyway, I'm super happy for Yen that they're snatching up so many excellent and popular titles. They're growing so fast for a new company. And I already love 'em for reviving Spiral.

Another anthology that's NOT owned by Viz! Competition and it is great! It about time we have someone else in the ring! Yen press is bringing out some good stuff and I can't wait.

Hmm, an interesting slate of titles, although ultimately perhaps a bit too martial artists/supernatural guy trains to be the best X for my tastes.

All they have to do is throw Spiral and Black God in there, and maybe Zombie-loan, and I'll go from 99% sold to 100% sold.

I'm not much of an anthology person, but that sounds like a great line up. I'm particularly stoked to hear Nabari no Oh is licensed, as there's very little of it scanlated and I really want to read more of it. I doubt I'll be picking up the magazine but hopefully the tankoban releases won't be too terribly far off.
