You know, I saw Spectral Force at one of my local anime stores. I do own the Resurrection of Ethereal Empires game on PSP and thought it might have been a good buy. Is it actually awful?

I recall not minding the story too much (though I have fairly high tolerance for "cheese"), but that the CGI was pretty bad. AniSearch.de has a fair number of screenshots—maybe it was just the 3D CGI that was bad?

Edit: It seems that it originally was animated in 1998–9, per JIGS' LD release lists, so that would explain it.
