It would be really nice if these new iterations of Gegege no Kitarō would get licensed in the US (the new series, the spookier, darker newer series, the live-action movies and this) but I can't get my hopes up.

That's what I've been hoping for too, since the last time I went looking for it I only managed to watch one episode Sad. From what I saw it proved to be a really good show.
