At first I grinned and thought "Thank God I'm not the only one not understanding memes. I mean, how did I overlook Coaterplatypus?"
Then I looked into this thread and found out - well, that Coaterplatypus is no actual meme. That made an already funny comic plain hilarious, at least for me. On a sidenote, Mr. Kovalic from Dork Tower posted a comic with a similar pointe some weeks ago - only it was about rickrolling. Scary how the internet makes comic artists think alike^^ PS: Yeah, so all memes are anime-related? Like, Chuck Norris? I guess only the anime-related memes are anime-related. o0 |

Very cute comic this week, Jadress. After the first half dozen fell a little flat for me (I didn't like the type of humor, but it was just a personal preference), I've found myself really looking forward this comic.
As for memes... in-jokes are only fun when involving a handful of people, and they're only fun for that handful of people. Memes try to take that dynamic and spread it across the world, and for me it has been completely unsuccessful. |

No, Milhouse isn't a meme. However, "Milhouse is not a meme" was (and maybe still is) a meme. And the explanation of the logic above is yet another meme. Don't try to think about it too hard, analyzing memes is best left to professionals
Just a comment on your pointing out the coaterplatypus isn't a meme. |
