Hardly old news, like the 2nd poster said..was posted today. Now Japantor is a site that is ALWAYS posting old news....love ANN for actually posting stuff ASAP instead of waiting 9-72 hours.

I hope the anime version of vampire knight will be liscensed by either viz media's shojo beat or funimation. The manga version isn't that bad.

Your comment is just SAD Kids nowadays don't know the classics John Williams has done so much music that HAS been ripped off Like Star Wars Jaws Indiana Jones Shall I go on? Harry Potter is just one of MANY popular titles the man's scored. I know I've heard Star Wars themes in anime |

Vampire Knight is one of the series I love to hate, I cannot stand the idea of vampires in school and the personalities of the characters make me despair... but the art is so pretty.... -.-

Maybe it's because the anime already has 8 (or more) episodes? The anime's great, but I like the manga even better. I agree - the art is so pretty

I don't know why you have to insist that everything rips off anime/manga. Looking into the Twlight novels and Vampire Knight, they both started at about the same time. Vampire Knight came out a year earlier (2005 is the date the encyclopedia has for the first Japanese volume), however if you knew anything about publishing you would know that it takes several months for a book to go from original manuscript to final printed product, especially if they have a specific season in which they wish to publish.
So basically, both creators had similar ideas at the same time. Horror. And they aren't even that similar (or all that original either). Once again, your theory holds less water than a sieve. |

I know the plot of Twilight, I've read all three books in the series so far, thus why I was questioning your comment since I can't see any reason for it.
You yourself still aren't pointing out any specifics, you can link back and forth to full summaries of things all you want, it isn't making your point any clearer. I'm going to have to agree with marie-antoinette's last comment. Though, Twilight first came out in September of 2005, I don't know when Vampire Knight first came out (exact month), Stephenie's website points out the exact day she came up with the idea for Twilight though, it was June 2nd 2003, so it would be physically impossible for her to have stolen ideas from the author of Vampire Knight unless she was doing it through telepathy
