NEWS FLASH: Tokyopop decides not to cancel its most popular and successful series!

Well, uh, DUH. Anyone who feared for these particular books was just a fool. (Well, I'm not sure how well Rave was doing, but obviously well enough).

Lillian?!!!

The thing that worries me is that TP is pretty much farked after Fruits Basket ends. That was their one cash cow and all the other hit series are currently with other publishers.

ITA, I can't believe anyone even bothered worrying a moment about Fruits Basket. The only reason they would end it is if the company was completely gone.

Good to know that Tactics is safe, since worries about it were more legitimate.

The only thing I'm worried about is GTO: The Early Years and the Twelve Kingdom Novels. Other than that I really don't care.

I wasn't sure about Tactics or Rave either, nor Saiyuki, though I was hopeful the number of fans I seem to run across would keep it going.
Fruits Basket & Loveless make the Best Sellers list all the time so I really didn't see them going away unless TP has totally gone insane.
DNAngel is another I don't see going away, but the issue is it's been on hiatus in Japan & has just kicked back up, so it'll be a few months before they have another volume released, then the translation process will add about 6 mos.
I've been hoping for KKM since we lost the anime, but who knows? I'm hoping this might just be a lag & when TP gets this whole thing out of their system, they'll still have the option of picking up where they left off, but their high mucky mucks are the only ones who know what the hell is going on in those insane little brains of theirs. All we can do as fans is hold our breath or cross our fingers & toes.

I am more worried that they will stop making the Fruits Basket Ultimate Editions. I like that multi-volume hardcover format.

Hmmm, have to pick up the English editions of Gakuen Alice... Anyone know if they did volume 7.5 as well as 7 and 8?

So, all of the TP titles I collect are safe . . . except for Futari Ecchi D:

There's no way it's surviving - unless a lot of people are buying it Mad

I just hope the morons responsible for their half-assed work on Pet Shop of Horrors and the .hack manga and novels are among those that got the axe...and that the people replacing them aren't even worse.

...

Honestly, who on earth would be worried about Fruits Basket being canceled? I can understand being worried about some of the other series, but come on, people.

Right now what I'm most worried about is Gakuen Alice, V.B. Rose, and the Twelve Kingdoms Novels.

I was never worried about Fruits Basket, but I'm very glad to know Tactics is safe. :D

Now, if I could find out about the 10 or so other ongoing TP titles I have.... XD
