Okay. Apparently it wasn't listed why on the main page, but the reason Chris can't make it is because he's in a production of Pirates of Penzance and the opening weekend coincides with Metrocon. This is the word from the man himself.

YES! Thanks for passing this along.
The scheduling conflict is bummer. We're going to miss Chris, but it is a FANTASTIC opportunity for him. (And when those opportunities come along, you've got to go for them!) So if you're in Houston those weeks, be sure to track down tickets and check out his performance. He's going to totally *rock* in the role.
