I was wondering what you guys think will be good anime choices from Best Buy. I am getting ready to collect some good anime from Best Buy. Do you guys know of any good titles.

I was hoping to get Dual! Paralelle Trouble Adventure on dvd there but they didn't have it.

What do you already have? BB generally carries a lot of ADV and FUNi releases.

Yes they have GXP, I've been buying them from BB as each new disc is released. I sent you a PM with some suggestions....

Well I would definately suggest Tenchi GXP, and yes I beleive that there are only the first 5 volumes available. Dual parallel touble is a funny, and a good short series. The mecha looks like evangelion, but its not as serious, and the story line is completely different. You might like full metal panic, which is done by ADV, and has a good quality 5.1 audio track on them.

you know, you can always check on their website to see what anime they have, and even see what anime is instock in stores near you if you don't want it shipped to you. You can order online then go to a store and pick it up.

Why are you limiting yourself to Best Buy? While they do have good prices they tend not to have anything over say, a year old (like Duel).

Your location doesn't seem like it's in the middle of nowhere so look around. If there are any used DVD places near you, many of them carry Anime (I got X 2-7 for12.99 each w/ slipcovers) and yes, ANN has some fine retailers as sponsers who deals are pretty good, check them out.

Seriously, you can find what you want.Very Happy

All the best,

Nani?

they occasionally stock the much-coveted boogiepop phantom box set - around $100. i had been drooling over this (alas! i am poor) until its unfortunate purchase a month or so ago.

excellent series: lain-like in content and style.

I usually go to Best Buy for my anime dvds because they are generally cheaper. But if I can't get what I want there, I go to Suncoast. Well if I really want an Anime DVD that I can't find at Best Buy.

they should...I think they have both the movie and the movie bundled with Metropolis...but Best Buy does have a website http://www.bestbuy.com/ where you could check for your self and even see if a best buy near you has it...

Well, I'm not sure about the one near you, but there are hardly any good selection of anime in my Borders. It's all stuffed into a corner under "Foreign Titles" which is mixed up with obscure foreign movies which you've never heard of (although some are actually pretty good Anime smile) So... I doubt you'd find a whole lot, but if you're looking for manga, they are one of the best, carrying if not all, a very wide variety Anime smile

First of all, welcome to the forums gzilla04 and littlecanuck. Wink

And as for Best Buy, I used to buy a lot of my anime there, but it seems their selection has gone down a little bit since about... I don't know, say a year and half ago (at least the one I live by.)

As for good anime, there are too many for me to name from the top of my head, but if you want to get some anime DVDs for a good price and don't mind ordering online, I'd say the best place to get a few is here:

You sure can, but the one I live buy raised the price to, like, $24.99.

If you want to save a few bucks, you can also try this:

http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=COL009055

But I'm sure if you search around some other stores, they may have it for $19.99. Good luck! Smile
