So I was working on the specials today, as is my usual wont on Thursdays, and sometime around when I tossed in Factbat (perfect for all your censoring needs) it occurred to me that there are an awful lot of anime memes out there. Better yet, there are a lot of anime memes out there that I can put on sale. So I did. Heck, I went and entered the new MLP DVD, just so I could throw it on, even though it's not actually anime. It's heady being a minion.
Then it occurred to me that it might be fun to see how many memes you all know, and I was batting the idea around with Alison, and you know what? Let's have a contest! I got an extra Toko figure when I bought my Maria-sama gashapons. She's still in all her disassembled glory and original plastic, and she can be yours! (Or maybe it's this winking one. I'm not sure where to ask this, but here seems like a good place. Does anyone(I'm looking at you, RightStufSpecialsMinion) know why there's now counters for the Maria Watches Over Us season 1 and 2 sets? I assume they are going out of print shortly. Or will there be a re-release, maybe something similiar to the newer Emma bundle?

The thinpak sets for Maria Watches Over Us were limited and are now going out of print. We're down to the last of our stock for sets 1-2, hence the counters on those two. We will be re-releasing the series later on, but you can expect further editions not to include the boxes or booklets. I don't have any other information or specifics at this time, but you can always sign up for our press release mailing list. You'll get the news just as soon as we announce it. And of course, what kind of specials minion would I be if I didn't point out that all four box sets are currently on sale in the specials...? |

Thanks for the info. The reply I got from the customer service rep was kinda funny(and didn't actually answer my question.) The way it was worded led to to believe they thought I was requesting for it to be discontinued. I don't think they even realized the title I was asking about is a rightstuf/nozomi release. I suppose we all have those days, don't we?

Erghh, I still don't have season 4! Gotta get on that. My boxes for the first two seasons have some weird warping damage, and I don't know how it happened. It looks almost like water damage, but none of the other dvds I keep around them have water damage. I want to replace them, but everything else is fine and the artwork is still there...it's just kind of bumped out. Plus I can't afford to replace them. It would be awesome to get replacement cases, but I already looked into it and it's not possible.
