You must've missed this part:

The company will release the 27-episode series digitally and on bilingual DVD later this year.

What? Did you read the news article? Sentai is dubbing it in English.

I guess you didn't read the article carefully, Sentai is dubbing this show. I take it you have problem with reading subtitle?

Did you actually read the article or simply glanced through it?

As someone who enjoyed Armed Librarians: The Book of Bantorra and liked what it tried to do, I am happy that it has been licensed. The dub is just a bonus.

Wow, about time. I thought this was certain to get licensed long ago (unless David Production was playing hardball). I've wanted to watch this for a while, so hopefully Sentai will put it back up on CR (certain to reappear on The Anime Network and Hulu, but still would be nice).

Sure spend the money on the dub but not on the blu ray licensing. This blows! What the hell Sentai!? Mad

I guess Sentai is really trying to go bankrupt before they lose that court case against Funimation. Then they probably figure at least they wont have any money to give them lol.

But seriously, whats up with these licenses lately sentai? Who is going to buy this?

*Note* - Not saying this show is bad or anything.

Ignorant troll spouting sour grapes.

The case will not affect Sentai since their partners and investment holders aren't tied to ADV.

Go back and try that again, moron. It sounds like you've never heard of this show.

Bantorra was an absolute train wreck. It was hard to take the story seriously because it never seemed to be more than a vague idea. And forget about getting to like any characters, spoiler[they each get killed off just as they get interesting so it's hard to get attached to anyone. Introduce character, make them interesting, kill them off. Repeat, repeat, repeat.] Only reason I watched it to the end was because I didn't want the time I had spent on it to be wasted if didn't. A dub certainly isn't going to make it worth a second watch.

Close... since "book" is in the title, but the real book anime that I'm waiting for is Library Wars. Crying or Very sad

You and me both. Why doesn't anyone want my money!?

Having missed this when it was on CR (as that was back when series whose license expired simply disappeared, with no advance notice posted in the Site News), I wonder if perhaps this production wasn't mastered for HD to begin with.

If not, then Sentai might see little commercial advantage in upscaling it for a BD release.

I don't really care at all about this show but I'm always glad to see more titles from that 07-09 dead zone licensed. It gives me hope that we might one day see some of the shows I actually want licensed.

If they would license a certain anime from 2007, I would have to pull out the SnoopyDance.gif, immediately followed by the "Where do I pre-order?" inquiry.

Keep in mind I don't usually purchase physical media.

ABOUT [expletive] TIME THIS UNDER-APPRECIATED GEM GOT [expletive] LICENSED!

I mostly expected FUNimation to get this show, but Sentai? Talk about a dark horse!

Now, who do you think they're gonna cast in the dub? Place your bets!

I barely remember this one from the 2009 Fall Preview Guide, but the story sounds interesting. With it having an English dub, I might give this title a look-see and add it to my "purchase" list.
