Video also previews Sangatsu no Phantasia's opening song "Pink Lemonade"

The official website for the television anime of matoba's As Miss Beelzebub Likes (Beelzebub-jō no Okinimesu Mama. or As Miss Beelzebub Likes It) manga began streaming the first full promotional video on Monday. Unlike the earlier character mini-promotional videos, the full promotional video features the first animated footage from the anime and announces that Kikuko Inoue is narrating the anime. The video also previews Inoue's narration and the opening theme song "Pink Lemonade" by Sangatsu no Phantasia.

(Note: The video on the official website is region-locked to Japan.)

The series will premiere on Japan's ABC TV station and on the AbemaTV streaming service on October 10 at 26:50 (effectively, October 11 at 2:50 a.m.) It will also run on the Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, BS11, and TV Aichi channels, as well as other streaming services. Starting on Monday, participating Animate stores nationwide will exhibit posters and large cardboard displays with illustrations of Beelzebub and Murin wearing Animate staff aprons. Some stores will also play the new promotional video as well as video comments from the cast.

The "Pink Lemonade" CD single will go on sale on November 21. Kanon Wakeshima penned the song.

Yen Press is publishing the manga in North America, and it describes the story:

Murin's lands his dream job with the demon king he's always held in awe, but when his tenure begins, it turns out the demon king isn't quite what he expected...

The cast members include:

  • Rikuya Yasuda as Murin
  • Saori Ōnishi as Beelzebub
  • Misaki Kuno as Belphegol
  • Satoshi Hino as Azazel
  • Ai Kakuma as Sargatanas
  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Astaroth
  • Chinatsu Akasaki as Eurynome
  • Aoi Yūki as Dantalion
  • Kazuyuki Okitsu as Molech

Minato Kazuto (Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor) is directing the anime at LIDEN Films. Yoriko Tomita (Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond, Puzzle & Dragons X scriptwriter) is both overseeing and writing the series scripts. Etsuko Sumimoto (Tsuredure Children, Yurikuma Arashi) is designing the characters for animation, and also serving with Tsubasa Ito and Masahiko Yoda as chief animation directors. Sumimoto and Yoda are also designing the props.

Kōhei Honda is directing the art with art design by Eiko Tsunadō. Satoko Kimura is serving as the color key artist. Yoshiki Obata is the director of photography, and Mai Hasegawa is editing.

Satoshi Motoyama (Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, Haganai) is the sound director. Singer Kanon Wakeshima (theme songs for Vampire Knight, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) and naotyu- (Nisekoi - False Love, Isuca) are composing the music.

Sangatsu no PHANTASIA (Slow Start, Kiznaiver theme songs) is performing the opening theme song, and the ending theme song is a character song titled "Akuma de Koiwazurai" (Stubbornly Lovesick) performed by Saori Ōnishi, Misaki Kuno, and Ai Kakuma.

The artist matoba launched the manga in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine in July 2015. Square Enix published the manga's seventh compiled book volume in Japan on April 21, and the eighth volume will ship on September 21.
