Gakuen Babysitters' Hari Tokeino, Meteor Prince's Meca Tanaka to Each Draw 1-Shot Manga

1-shots debut in March, April

The March issue of Hakusensha's LaLa magazine revealed on Thursday that Hari Tokeino and Meca Tanaka will each draw a new one-shot manga. Tokeino's one-shot manga will debut in the magazine's May issue on March 23, and Tanaka's one-shot manga will debut in the June issue on April 24. Both one-shots are as-yet untitled.

The May issue will also debut a new manga series by Komachi Kurokawa titled Inu no Naku Mura (The Town Where the Dogs Howl).

Hakusensha also announced that it will publish a new untitled series by Hitsuji Harumi, and a two-shot manga by Shinobu Amano, but did not give debut dates for either works.

Tokeino launched the Gakuen Babysitters series (pictured at right) in LaLa in 2009, and Hakusensha published the manga's 18th compiled volume last December. The manga inspired a television anime adaptation in January 2018. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

Tokyopop published Tokeino's 11-volume Me & My Brothers manga in English in 2007-2010.

Tanaka serialized The Young Master's Revenge manga in LaLa from 2014 until July 2017. Viz Media released all four volumes of the manga in North America. Tokyopop published Tanaka's Pearl Pink manga in North America, and Viz Media has published her Meteor Prince manga. CMX Manga published Tanaka's Omukae desu. manga, which inspired a live-action television series in 2016.
